About Us

Culpeper Housing and Shelter Services (CHASS) provides shelter and helps those in need obtain stable, permanent housing. Originally formed in 1988 as the Culpeper Community Development Corporation by a group of concerned local residents, this 501(c)3 has helped thousands over the years to gain access to safe, affordable housing.

In order to carry out our services, we rely on state and federal grants. Local support is also needed to provide matching funds and expand our services, which are focused on meeting the needs of lower income families. For more information on how you can help, contact us.
